The second service pack for Smap3D Plant Design 2026 is now available for SOLIDWORKS, Inventor and Solid Edge. In addition to numerous optimizations and improvements, the update includes three targeted enhancements that are particularly noticeable in day-to-day work with pipe classes and when transitioning to a new standard part management system.
Flexibly Switch Standard Part Management in the Pipe Class Editor
Until now, users who changed the source of their standard parts had to make more extensive changes to existing pipe classes. With Service Pack 2, the standard part management stored in a pipe class file can now be replaced directly within the Pipe Specification Editor.
This is particularly beneficial for users who, for example, move from Solid Edge Modular Plant Design to Smap3D Plant Design, or switch from the Smap3D standard part provider PartFinder to PDM Studio as their product data and standard parts management.
More Precise Pipe Classes in the Inch System
When defining diameters using NPS values (inches), the corresponding option values can now be specified with three decimal places instead of the previous two. This allows for a more precise definition of pipe classes and is particularly beneficial for users in an international environment.
Updated ISOGEN® Version in Smap3D Isometric
In Smap3D Isometric, the integrated core software ISOGEN® has been updated to the current version 10.0.0.61. This ensures that the latest version of this component is consistently available for isometric creation.
