From mixing and homogenizing of liquids or high viscous materials to mixing and drying of solids: The family-owned company EKATO, based in the southern Black Forest in Germany, supplies state-of-the-art process equipment for the cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries.
Challenge
As EKATO SYSTEMS grew, complexity increased, along with the desire for greater process reliability: The company was looking for a system with which it could implement mechanical design and plant engineering in one software. In addition, production planning and control also needed to be optimized with software support in order to produce much more efficiently.
